This Android fragmentation issue is so confusing for any punters with the slightest amount of techy knowledge, especially when looked at in the same context as iOS. There is just too much difference between which particular device will run which version of Android, and then what application can be installed. It's just not clear cut, and then I get asked for my opinion when people are looking to buy a new device or upgrade !
